Mud Monsters and Grinches

This is what my children were doing last weekend in the rainy weather...

This photo has nothing to do with our rainy day fun, but she sure looked cute as she headed off to a friend's birthday party that morning. :)



It started out with touching the mud with tentative finger tips and quickly progressed to standing in mud puddles.

 

They were so pleased with themselves and the messiness of it all!

Before I knew it, the colored bubbles were out and they were painting themselves into Grinches!

"You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch!"

Obviously, we had to hose them down outside before bringing them indoors for a bath. The girls thought it was fun, but Finn screamed bloody murder when he got hosed down with the ice, cold water. It was hilarious to see him running around the side of the house, buck naked and screaming his head off! :)

Going Bald for a Good Cause

Joey joined some of his fellow teacher and students from Garner Magnet High School yesterday in shaving their heads for St. Baldrick's, a charity that funds research for children's cancer. Despite the weather, everyone was happy to be there supporting this wonderful charity.
