End of Track Out

I was so sad to see my girls go back to school on Tuesday. "Lump in the throat, teary-eyed, reconsidering homeschooling as an option" sad. I so enjoy their company - as does Finn - so it stinks that the majority of their waking hours are spent away from home.

We had a fun final track out weekend, though, and the girls even had a little surprise planned.

Cassidy was pretending to be a store manager!

Love the hoop earrings!!!

Sweet, sweet boy. He is in full blown 3-year-old mode and all the incessant crying, whining, and tantruming it entails, so a genuine smile is something to celebrate and quickly capture on film as we may not see another one the rest of the day! :)

The girls proclaimed Saturday morning "Girls' Day" and arrived in our bedroom that morning with breakfast for everyone. They were so proud that they had made it all themselves. Cassidy had to move a wooden block full of knives to get that tray...I shudder every time I think about it. Fortunately, everyone's limbs remained intact and it really was a precious moment as they presented us breakfast in bed.

"Girls' Day" also included a formal dance. The girls dressed Finn in his ECU hat, a pink jacket from the baby doll clothes basket and his only necktie...and, yes, you can see his crack!

Dancing with Daddy....fortunately, they did not insist that we dress up!

This boy LOVES his Daddy!

His new favorite thing is perfecting his wrestling moves with Daddy, but on "Girls' Day" he settled for dancing.

It melts my heart to see that little man with his arm gently wrapped around his sister's waist. He asked me to dance, too, and as he put his hand on my waist I suddenly flashed forward to his wedding day and had to hold back the tears! :)
