Last weekend the girls decided that they were going to have a tea party. They wrote out a menu that included cheeseburgers, cantelope, nut cake (what is that???), almond tea cakes, corn bread, fruit salad, blueberry muffins, apple juice, water, ice water, and hot chocolate...and they even made a tea party banner. We had none of their menu items except the hot chocolate (and water), but they seemed perfectly happy to sip on their chocolate treat.

The monkeys enjoying their hot chocolate. The glasses are actually dessert cups that belonged to my grandmother, but they are nice, heavy glass so I thought they'd be safe to use with little ones. :) |

The Tea Party Banner...T-E-A took up a lot of room so Cassidy had to make "Party" significantly smaller. AND her "e" ended up upside down, but I thought she did a pretty good job with her first attempt at bubble letters. |

Finn thoroughly enjoyed his sugary drink. He kept telling us, "I LOVE hot chocolate!" |
Cassidy wasn't as thrilled. She was convinced that the foamy film on top was a sign that something was wrong with her drink...she said it made the hot chocolate "taste weird" so she couldn't drink it. |
Lily was happily gulping hers down, but Cassidy kept going on and on about how she didn't like it so eventually she joined in the chorus. |
Finn drank every last drop and ended up with a perfect chocolatey mustache! |
