Turner Farms "Mock Meet"

After 2 weeks of practice, the girls participated in the team's mock meet on Thursday - a practice meet intended to prepare both swimmers and parent volunteers for our first real meet next week. It also gave the coaches a chance to watch the kids in a competition setting and get official times on them. Cassidy swam 3 events - the medley relay, backstroke, and freestyle - and Lily swam freestyle. The girls performed well, esp. considering that being in "competition mode" for the first time was a little overwhelming. They are both looking forward to practicing and racing again next week. Lily is WILD about her swimming gear. She wore her cap and goggles almost the entire evening even though she only swam one event...and she refuses to wear any other suit to the pool other than her official team suit! :)
